Black Bean Hummus

Makes about 2.5 cups


1 can black beans, rinsed, drained
1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed, drained, skins removed
¼ tsp reduced sodium salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp oregano
small bunch of parsley (about ¼ cup coarsely chopped)
½ tsp onion powder
3 tsp minced garlic
pinch of smoked paprika
pinch of chili powder
¼ cup tahini
¼ cup + 1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil


Puree all ingredients in a food processor, about 5 min or until desired consistency.
